boopalina + bebe is a line of well-conceived, high-quality children’s bedding, decor, and accessories designed to suit the aesthetic and lifestyle of the modern family. Inspired by mid-century design, we fit style-conscious parents and their babes with products that are a balance of simplicity, utility, and sustainability. Our collection blends contemporary prints, the softest of organic bamboo fabrics, rare vintage modern textiles, and reclaimed materials- delivering a fresh and unexpected perspective to children’s design. Launched by entrepreneur and mama of two Kristen Angelo, all boopalina + bebe items are designed and meticulously handcrafted in the greater Seattle area.
Steps Taken
Our products use certified organic bamboo/organic cotton blend fabrics, salvaged vintage modern textiles, and reclaimed materials. We’ve reduced paper usage by supplying our customers with a electronic invoices and packing slips sent directly to their email addresses.
Surprising Successes
The response to our products has been amazing. Our limited collection of kerchiefs crafted from organic fleece and salvaged vintage fabrics has been featured by Small Magazine, Cool Mom Picks, Inhabitots.com, and Notcouture.com. I certainly didn’t expect such an a flattering response.
Having Trouble With
Too much to do, not enough time…or hired help to do it! I’m running a business from home with kiddos at feet.
Giving Back
Our production fabric remnants are donated to various elementary schools throughout Pierce County in an effort to foster creative arts. We also just recently completed an application to join 1% for the planet.
